EXCHANGE WITH A FRENCH SCHOOL AVAILABLE, PREFERABLY IN PHILADELPHIA AREA: The following request is from a wonderful English teacher in Alsace whose students were hosted by Germantown Academy last spring, an extraordinary experience enjoyed by all - French visitors, host and host families, faculty and students at GA. Unfortunately we are unable to host them again this year, so they are looking for another Philadelphia area school to exchange with them. My name is Cynthia Fuchs and I teach English in Alsace in the East of France. I am really looking forward to establishing an exchange with an American school for my 14 students. All are in 9th grade. We would like to travel April 2012 and are ready to welcome American students as part of the exchange. It can be 2013 for your class if 2012 sounds too early for you! Our school is about 1 hour driving from the capital city of Europe, Strasbourg and only half an hour from the German and the Swiss border... a wonderful opportunity to travel in Europe during your stay! Furthermore, since the "TGV Est" was brought into service in 2007, Paris is a 3-hour trip. ______________ |
