Description: The Philadelphia Chapter listserv, established in October 2001, consists of e-mail addresses of approximately 85 per cent of our members. It is continually updated by the Secretary-Treasurer. Most of the unlisted members either have no e-mail, or have not furnished the address to National (meaning that it was not passed on to us). Members may unsubscribe at any time by notifying the Secretary-Treasurer.
Goals:
  1. To communicate announcements and information on events which missed the previous Newsletter deadline;
  2. To inform members of employment opportunities that are French-related;
  3. To send timely reminders of meetings and other deadlines;
  4. To furnish members with a choice of activities, aimed at reaching a wide range of interests;
  5. To supplement French-related information gathered through resources such as the Consulate General of France in Philadelphia, the Alliance Française de Philadelphie, the Alliance Française de Doylestown, the French-American Chamber of Commerce, the French International School of Philadelphia, France-Philadelphie, the French Heritage Society, and other pertinent sources.
Guidelines:
  • The listserv is not for sale or for rent, and is not to be lent out.
  • At the present time, the Secretary-Treasurer manages and updates the listserv.
  • Only current AATF Philadelphia Chapter members and French organizations will be included, but information can be shared with interested non-members.
  • The listserv is not for commercial purposes; its goal is to inform. We do not endorse products or events. Buying a product or attending an event that is not free is the member’s choice.
  • We do not post or forward résumés, but openings for French-related positions will be posted promptly.
  • The listserv was conceived as a supplement to our already-established communications; i.e., Newsletters and meetings.
  • Guidelines will be reviewed as deemed necessary by the Executive Council.
